It is late September as we prepare to form a team. Applicants are sending out reference forms and setting appointments for interviews. Leaders are getting ready to spend time together with the newly formed team, teaching, encouraging, equipping and praying. There is great anticipation as to what God will do in the lives of these young servants!

I have been asked to support this trip but am troubled. While it is exciting to contemplate the journey it strikes me as odd that foregoing it would enable the project to achieve some of its major goals. 60 persons X $2500 =150,000! Enough to tutor and feed 830 children, enough to pay a third of the medical centre AND equip it. By all accounts Jesus and his disciples lived as the poor while serving them a lesson seemingly lost today. Consider what your dollars could do even if you are not there to see the outcome.
